Sous Chef – Full Time
We’re on the hunt for a Sous Chef to join our busy kitchen team.
We’re a fast paced business and you must be able to work well under pressure. The main focus of the role is to produce great food and maintain a high standard of service and cleanliness. You’ll assist the Head Chef in the smooth running of our kitchens, have input in creating evening & specials menus and deputise in their absence.
Whilst we enjoy mostly daytime work, we do open once a fortnight for an evening event which you’ll be expected to work.
This is a full time position including 1 weekend day a week, with flexibility required for annual leave cover.
This is not an exhaustive list of responsibilities and the role may develop over time. Applicants of interest will be invited in for an informal interview, followed by a paid trial shift.

Experienced Front of House Server – Full and Part Time
We are looking for an experienced Senior Front of House Server to join our team at Mrs Salisbury’s Tea Room – Maldon High Street Location. As a Senior Front of House Staff, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and looking after various areas of our tea room.
Full time: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday
Part time: Sunday & Monday with the occasional Saturday.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and provide excellent customer service
- Manage areas of the tea room, to serve guests within your area
- Run food and drinks to customers efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the tea room
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure smooth operations
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work on weekends and weekdays
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
