Welcome to Mrs. Salisbury’s, where we turn every occasion into a memorable celebration! Thank you for considering us for your private function. We’re thrilled at the opportunity to make your event extra special.

How many can we accommodate?

We offer private function spaces perfect for Hen Parties, Baby Showers, Birthdays, and more. In our Maldon location our charming upstairs rooms can accommodate up to 22 guests, while the intimate downstairs space is ideal for gatherings of up to 12 people. Please note that the availability of the rooms may vary seasonally and the minimum for private hire is 9 people.

In our Wickham Bishops location we can seat up 16 guests in one half of our building during our opening hours and we may be able to offer a complete private hire of the building out of these hours.

What does the private hire include and how much does it cost?

We specialise in hosting Afternoon Tea for private functions. Our Afternoon Tea package includes a delightful assortment of sandwiches and sweet treats at £27.45 per person, that’s including a 10% service charge. For our little guests, we also offer a Children’s Afternoon Tea at £17.55. We can also cater for many different dietary requirements and allergies with our afternoon teas.

We are also able to offer private hire for canapé parties or evening meals. Please get in touch with us to discuss availability and to receive a quote.

Booking details

To secure your private afternoon tea booking, we require full payment in advance. But rest assured, there’s no additional room hire fee! We strive to provide a seamless experience, giving you exclusive access to the room from your booking time. Larger group bookings are typically accommodated from 3pm onwards, with a generous two and a half hours on the table.
