SIGNATURE AFTERNOON TEA

We would be delighted to offer you our extra special afternoon tea experience. Our quaint and charming setting awaits you as you sample our loose leaf teas, fresh cut finger sandwiches, warm fruit scones, and baked sweet treats. Our signature afternoon tea is available for your enjoyment with slots from 11:30 am Monday-Sunday.

For only £24.95 per person, indulge in unlimited loose tea and Americano coffee. Our menu for afternoon tea changes every month. If you have any dietary requirements, allergies or dislikes please inform us in advance, as we regularly offer Vegan, Vegetarian, and Gluten-Free afternoon teas by advanced request. Additionally, a 10% optional service charge will be added to the bill. Advance booking is required.

The drawing room

Situated on our ground floor, the drawing room offers a dark and sophisticated vibe. With a log fire roaring on colder days and a gorgeous wallpaper, this small and cosy room is perfect for a catchup over lunch.

The Bar room

Situated on our ground floor, the bar room is a bright and lively room where all the action takes place. Watch our baristas pour you the perfect cappuccino or simply watch the world go by through the window.

The Library room

Situated on our middle floor, the library room is one of our large rooms with its window overlooking the churchyard. This room is often used for larger parties and private events as well as our usual breakfast and lunch service. Please note this area may be closed on spring and summer days if our outside seating is open.

The Observatory

Situated on our middle floor, the observatory is one of our larger rooms with its two generous windows overlooking the courtyard and high street. Decorated with iconic pink walls and 13 unique prints, this room really is a feast for the eyes. Please note this area may be closed on spring and summer days if our outside seating is open.

The nursery

Situated on our middle floor, the nursery is our smallest room with just one table seating up to 8 people. Previously this baby blue space would have been the bedroom of many a Maldon youngster. Please note this area may be closed on spring and summer days if our outside seating is open.

The Circus room

Situated on our top floor, this is the room everyone is talking about. Look up and you’ll feel like you’re floating along side vintage hot air balloons on a starry night. With circus memorabilia scattered across the walls, this room is sure to make anybody gasp. Please note this area may be closed on spring and summer days if our outside seating is open.

The jungle room

Situated on our top floor, this is the room is for the most classy among us. Take a look at the far wall and see ‘vines’ growing from floor to ceiling and if that’s not enough – our golden orangutan and glass parrot chandelier will certainly set the mood. The secret courtyard

Hidden behind our main building, this is one of our two outside areas. It boasts 4 heated pergolas, marble table tops and french style dining chairs. Those wishing to dine outside with their canine companions can also seek shelter in this dog friendly area.

The pathway

Open in our summer months, this little sun trap is located near our entrance on Bright’s Path. Experience the buzz and hubbub of Maldon’s Vibrant Town Center all from the comfort of our al fresco dining area. This area is also dog friendly and we’ll even provide a refreshing water bowl for those parched pooches.
